*Must be local to Birmingham, Michigan. A mix of both in-person training and online coaching.

IN-PERSON TRAINING

Located at Black Mamba Barbell, a brand new private gym with top-of-the-line equipment.

Option for Derek to train you in your home if you live within a 15-minute radius of Black Mamba Barbell

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Initial phone call consultation assessing goals, previous injury, and health conditions

  • Functional Movement Screening used to identify limitations or asymmetries. You’ll perform seven fundamental movement patterns that are key to functional movement quality in individuals with no pain or known musculoskeletal injury.

  • Personalized training plan created to get you to your goals.

  • Results-orientated approach ensures you will be appropriately challenged so you never reach a plateau and are always making progress.

*2-3 sessions per week recommended for optimal results

SEMI-PRIVATE TRAINING

 

Available for clients who have similar goals and enjoy a social atmosphere while training. Maximum of 4 clients per session to ensure the integrity of the training. This lower-cost option that still upholds all of the attention to detail as the 1:1 training sessions. 

ONLINE COACHING 

Online coaching is for fitness enthusiasts who want a sustainable physical change. We will emphasize nutrition and exercise education, mindset shifts, habit formation, and finding a balanced lifestyle that works for you.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Initial consultation to assess starting point, barriers, and challenges, and to talk through the client's goals

  • Customized weight training programming

  • Nutrition guidelines, meal plan examples, and education

  • Weekly check-ins via email, phone, or video call

  • Motivation, mindset framing, and accountability

  • *12 week minimum commitment. This is the necessary time to create sustainable change and nail lifestyle habits. The goal is that after coaching is complete you can maintain the results easily on your own.

HYBRID COACHING

The best of both worlds. Everything that comes with the Online Coaching option, plus two in-person training sessions per month. 

The works best for the person who has a good routine with the gym, has prior knowledge of training, is self-driven, but wants that face-to-face accountability.

The in-person training sessions will allow Derek to assess and correct exercise techniques, make appropriate adjustments to the training plan and push you to proper intensity.

*Must be able to meet at Black Mamba Barbell, or live within 15 minutes of the gym for home training.
